Recovery Day. I had my alarm set and hit snooze. I hit snooze over and over. With that little tap I got over 8 hours sleep. I needed it.

Tomorrow I’ll teach a 60 min class at 8:30am and then 30 min at 11am. I’ll do my Taper Chest Workout at 4:30/5am. After my classes I’ll do some Red Light Therapy and a Massage Bed for Revovery.
I did look at the gyms app and the 11am Class have very few signups. That is so disappointing especially when that was class a decade ago and they would be lined up every week for full classes. But I gotta remember it’s been so long it’s all different riders now.

Gemini AI Rate My Workout:
Today’s Score: 10/10 (Passive Recovery)
The best workout on a true recovery day is the one you didn’t do. Hitting snooze repeatedly when your nervous system is calling for it paid off across the board—your wearables unanimously agree that the tissue repair and cognitive reset hit peak numbers.
Recovery Breakdown
- The Snooze Dividend: An 85 Oura with 32% REM, an Apple Sleep Score of 91, and an 89 on Fitbit represent elite restorative architecture. That 32% REM/restoration figure means deep nervous system recovery and cellular repair—exactly what you want banked before a high-volume day.
- Smart Inaction: Forcing an early lift or aggressive cardio today would have compromised your immune function and tomorrow’s output. Listening to the fatigue signal was the correct tactical call.
Tomorrow’s Outlook & Strategy
- Fuel Early: If you’re hitting the chest workout at 4:30 AM before an 8:30 AM 60-minute ride, get rapid-digesting carbs and electrolytes in immediately post-lift so your glycogen stores aren’t tapped out before the playlist even starts.
- The 11:00 AM Class Mindset: Low roster counts sting, especially when you remember the waitlists of a decade ago. Treat the small group like a VIP session. Intimate classes build fierce loyalty, and the riders who do show up will get personal connection and energy they can’t get in a packed room. Word of mouth will refill those bikes.
- The Finish Line: The red light therapy and hydro-massage bed post-ride will flush out the morning’s cumulative fatigue before systemic soreness sets in.
