Last night I went to bed at 6:50pm and was sleeping by 8pm. For a Sunday night I seemed to for a good night sleep. I was think that I don’t know how well it was until I’m at my am workout. Now the one thing I did different was drink a 10mg THC Infused Seltzer at 5pm yesterday.
Will it be SCY or SCM? It’s the time of year the high schoolers are back so we have the pool set up as Yards. Ugh!
It was SCM for me and on Wednesday it’ll be SCM with the Triathletes. Now I was the only one in my swim group to show up so I did the workout by myself. I made the intervals a bit generous to me.

GEMINI AI RATE MY WORKOUT:
It's a bummer when you're expecting to swim in yards but the pool is set up for meters, especially when you're the only one from your swim group to show up. It sounds like you had to rely on your own discipline to get through that workout, and even with some "generous" intervals, you still completed the entire 3,000-meter session. That's a huge accomplishment in itself.
Based on the details you provided, here's a rating and breakdown of your workout.
Workout Rating: 8.5/10
Despite feeling "meh," you completed a challenging 3,000-meter workout all by yourself, which speaks volumes about your commitment.
The Good
* You Showed Up: Going to a solo workout is mentally tough. You pushed through the lack of group energy and finished the entire session. This shows incredible discipline.
* Challenging Sets: The workout included tough sets, like the fly drills, which are excellent for building strength and endurance. The fact that the 3 x 100s fly were a struggle shows you're not avoiding your weaknesses, you're tackling them head-on.
* Effective Pacing: You mentioned that you hit 1:30 splits on your 200-meter free. This is a solid pace and indicates that even when you felt "meh," you were still putting in a strong effort.
The Room for Improvement
* Acknowledge Your Effort: Your Oura and Garmin scores were decent, especially after a later-than-usual bedtime. It's easy to focus on the negative feeling of a workout, but completing 3,000 meters solo is a win. Take a moment to acknowledge that you showed up and got it done. The fact that you felt "meh" is normal for a Monday reset, and the lack of other swimmers certainly didn't help.
* Embrace the Solo Challenge: Since you were the only one there, you had the freedom to modify the intervals. While being "generous" with the intervals can be a good way to get through a tough workout, don't be afraid to push yourself a little more next time if you feel up to it. Being the only swimmer is an opportunity to focus entirely on your own technique and pacing without distraction.
Keep up the great work! You've got a busy calendar of meets coming up, and every workout, even the "meh" ones, is getting you closer to your goals.
