Nuts…Chipmunks, get it? Anyways…
Some of this I typed while waiting a character stops and later edited and some was my thoughts afterwards.
Woke up at 2:15am and 40F! Yuck! Good thing I have two running tights to wear and a thermal shirt. That Walmart run was worth it.
Brrrr….
Three out of four of the pre-race character photos. Probably could have done the 4th Jiminy Cricket but wanted to be in the front of the coral as I’m in the 2nd to last one. Gotta keep ahead of the balloon ladies.

5:05 and I’m shivering. Fingers are frozen. Brrr…. My feet are so cold I’m afraid they are numb and won’t be able to run. Why do I sign up for January runs?
And we are off. I’m jogging! I’m jogging! No pain, at least not yet.

Stopped Right before 2 miles the Ugly Ducking. Shead my jacket.
Skipped Mice God Mothers
2.7 mile stopped for Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
No Balloon Lady Alerts. Doh! May only stop every other character and will skip Duffy. Got him the last two races. Without timing due to bad chips no Telegram posts of where the balloon ladies are. Good thing I did some math earlier.

Skipped Fairy Godmother and Captain Book and Mr Smee. I somehow missed Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip. I vaguely remember running by. Think the line was too long.
At mile 4.32 stopped for Goofy. I think by my guesstimate balllon ladies are at mile 2
Damn my watch stop. Think it was when I was with Goofy.
Back in Epcot I stopped for Donald Duck all dressed up at 6:53. Really thought he was naked at first. Ballon ladies guesstimate mile 3. I gotta be close to 5 miles about now. Just gotta finish in 30 minutes or get swept.
Skipped Epcot ball. Got that pix last race.
By the Epcot ball at 7:12 stopped for Peter Pan and Wendy. I figured I’m safe from being swept. Hoping for one more character stop after this.
And that was it. No more characters. Sometimes they have something backstage as one is about to turn towards the finish line. The had the choir which is great but not a character. I did take a pix of a character at the finish line the race announcer John Pelkey. Wanted to do a selfie but someone was doing one with Carissa Galloway.

According to the internet the ballon ladies finished in at 2:48 which means my math was wrong.
Now I felt decent at the end of the race. Kept walking getting my medal, water and the plastic cheese box. I felt good but cold. Didn’t want to stand around outside to get a pix with Jimminy Cricket. Got on the bus back to All Star Sports.
Got to my room and took a good hot shower before heading to the food court. One doesn’t run a runDisney race without eating Mickey shaped food. Got my waffles and cinnamon bun. Then back to the room to pack. No rest for the wicked. Got to be at work for our 5K packet pickup .
Looking back it was worth freezing. I’m not really happy with any of my photos and disappointed that none of my 100 Acre Woods friends were not on the course. Awe Pooh!

All that in the last two months. Not enough. No wonder why my quads are still sore two days later.
